covid-19

Our priority continues to be the health and safety of our guests and residents.

As such, we have implemented a number of measures and guidelines within residence.

  • Signage that promotes physical distancing, hand washing, and other health and safety reminders.
  • Additional hand sanitizing dispensers have been installed.
  • Foot door pulls have been added to decrease the amount of high touch points when opening doors.
  • Residence staff members have been trained on health and safety measures.
  • All spaces including high touch areas are cleaned on a more rigorous schedule.
  • Enhanced cleaning protocols that include disinfecting.
  • Additional physical distancing equipment, such as plexiglass barriers, are in place in high traffic areas following public health guidelines.

In response to the Ontario government’s Roadmap to Reopen and public health guidance in Toronto, effective July 1, 2022, the University of Toronto has paused the requirement to be masked in indoor University spaces, unless otherwise required.

While physical distancing and masking is no longer required, we ask everyone to continue to respect the decisions of others regarding these measures, according to their comfort levels and health needs.

We are a a mask-friendly environment, and we continue to welcome and encourage everyone to wear a mask. It is vitally important that, even with the easing of provincial measures, we remain vigilant, conscientious, and respectful of one another.

Please note: Some or all of these requirements may be reinstated on short notice should public health conditions or guidance change.
